Chris started running when he was 11 years old at school where he was first introduced to cross country. Having already swum from an even earlier age, he was well on his way to becoming a triathlete by the age of 15. He went on to represent Great Britain as a youth and junior in European Championships, and to this day still competes at a high level having won the World Ironman 70.3 Age Group Champs in South Africa in 2018. One of the keys to his success is his run ability off the bike having ran 75 mins for a half marathon after a 1.9k swim and 90k bike.
Chris was the founder and is still Head Coach to our sister brand Total Tri Training. He was worked with many athletes from across the board wanting to improve either single sport performance or in multisport. One of his areas of expertise is working with runners who carry injury risk, and helps them to maintain run performance with developing aerobic fitness through multisport. He says “its amazing how fast runners can go with a very limited run programme if supplemented with other sports such as swimming & cycling”
